I kind of took a little impromptu hiatus there, didn’t I? Did you miss me?
If you’ve popped by the blog or poked around at my social media recently, you might have noticed something a little different. If you haven’t, let me fill you in:
I have totally and completely revamped my blog! I have a new layout (still slightly under construction), a new about page, and a new name! The Cupcake Witch is now…
From Adie, with Love
I won’t bore you with the details of why this happened, only that this new version of my blog feels a lot closer to who I am right now and who I’d like to be. Real, open, honest, but still cute, colorful, and fun!
So, what changed? Aside from the aesthetics and the name, I’m not making any drastic shifts. I’ll still write about whatever topic strikes my fancy, from mental health and witchcraft to cupcakes and Star Wars. I mostly just wanted my visual brand to be a little more in line with what I posted. There are a couple content shifts worth noting, however:
- Those random, rambling posts about my personal life which had no real topic other than, “Hey, look at what a train wreck I am, right now!” are gone. This is a personal blog and posts will still pertain to my personal life/experiences, of course, but no more voyeuristic, ranting, drama posts without a point.
- While I love the idea of a M/W/F schedule, I just don’t have the time to update multiple times a week. In the interest of increasing the quality of my posts as well as having time to devote to school and other planned projects, I’ll only be posting once a week, on Friday (so mark your calendars).
You have a real name to call me by, if you feel so inclined! Since I’m going to be cutting back on the personal drama, I’m a little more comfortable sharing my name here. Also, so many people I know in real life read this blog that the idea of trying to uphold anonymity just seems laughable at this point. Hi, mom!
The old cupcakewitchery.com URL will continue to redirect here for the time being, but I strongly suggest you update your bookmarks, feeds, etc to fromadiewithlove.com sooner rather than later. The old URL won’t come back here forever.
I want to thank everyone who has been with me on this journey. Your love and support has meant the world to me and I hope you’ll stick around as I enter this new chapter of my life.
I love you all.
