Today is Wednesday. I’ve been trying to post on Wednesdays. But, yesterday Pup and I went to Disneyland (in the pouring rain) and I didn’t have time to queue anything up. So, now it’s after 5:30pm and I’m just now getting around to posting.

My bad. Better late than never, right?

Anyway, I’m still on my cleaning and cleansing kick. I don’t think I’m going to get things as organized as I’d like before the new moon this month, which begins on the 16th. I prefer to do cleansings during the new moon, because they represent new beginnings and that’s what a cleansing is to me; a new beginning, a fresh slate.

The full moon begins on the 31st, and this is a powerful time for magic, as well. Though, to me, the full moon is more about abundance and bringing things in; not exactly my goal for this cleansing. Also, since I return to school on the 29th, I may be a bit too busy to worry about it at that time as I get settled into my new classes.

Of course, I’m sure there are some witches who would just tell me, “Do it whenever! If it needs to be cleansed, cleanse!”

I can’t really explain why I feel so beholden to the moon phases; I just do. Maybe it’s my perfectionist nature, wanting to have the optimal timing for success. Maybe it’s a holdover from my fledgling days, when I was still but a baby sprat of a witchling Wiccan and I worshipped the moon as Goddess. Maybe I just like the pageantry of it.

I mean, I’m still going to try for the new moon, because I have nothing to lose by trying to get my space clean and organized in a smaller time frame.

I’m just not making any promises, that’s all.

I love you all.
